Ever Wish You Could Be Your Own Boss?

Taking online surveys that really pay can be an exhaustive, time-consuming process, and it may sometimes feel as if you’re working for just a few dollars an hour. Of course, these times are usually balanced out by those exciting survey that sometimes come along and pay much more than you’re accustomed to from an online survey. But in any case, when the work becomes repetitive and you don’t feel like you can go on any longer, you may start looking into shortcuts to help make the process a little easier. Here are some ideas for maximizing the efficiency of your online survey taking.

1. Autofill plugins and software: Most browsers have features that enable you to automatically fill in basic information about who you are. Although many of the questions in online surveys aren’t general enough to be covered by autofill software, you can still use these plugins to make your job a little quicker. Set up your software to automatically fill in your basic information and any other questions that you find you are commonly asked.

2. Email filtering: As you’re signing up for online survey sites, you’ll begin to notice that your email inbox gets filled up quickly. In fact, people who really get into this business often end up receiving hundreds or even thousands of emails per day. There’s no way that you can go through all of that. But what you can do is have your email filtering software automatically get rid of surveys that either don’t apply to you or you’re not interested in, and you can have it prioritize messages that contain terms that are particularly appealing to you.

3. RSS feeds: If you have several survey sites that you check daily or even multiple times per day, you can centralize all the updates in one location with an RSS feed. Even with sites that don’t send out traditional RSS feeds, you can set up your reader to send you a message any time that site changes. This way, you don’t have to waste time every day checking for updates on a site that only adds things every few days.

4. The wisdom of crowds: Rather than investigating every single survey opportunity yourself, find a spot on the internet where people talk about these things a lot, and check it on a daily basis. You’ll find that there are several great web forums for this purpose, and there are also some Facebook groups as well as Yahoo! groups that you have to request membership to.
