Ever Wish You Could Be Your Own Boss?

Kindle Publishing for Autopilot Profits

The Amazon Kindle is hot, and it's getting hotter every day.  And so are the books that are published directly for Amazon's Kindle store.  In fact, Kindle books have been outselling hardcover books for quite a while now.  And you can profit from this trend.  Read on and discover why Kindle Book Publishing may be perfect for you if you're looking for an autopilot passive income.

Why Making Money with Kindle Books Is Easy

Making money with Kindle books is surprisingly easy.  First, it's easy to create Kindle books and put them up for sale.  Then, Amazon practically does the advertising for you, guiding targeted prospects to your book.  And third, there's a lot of money to be made in several ways, from high royalties to back end profits.  It's the perfect setup for autopilot profits.

Kindle Books Are Easy To Sell

The biggest advantage of Kindle publishing is the ready-made market on Amazon, where people go searching for books that YOU could provide.  If you do your homework and write about topics people are actively searching for, you can do very well.  Here's why...

Amazon is very good at suggesting book titles that fit with their visitors' searches, so if you position your books well, chances are good that your books turn up when customers are  looking for books on your subject. And if you price your books correctly, you could sell a lot of them.

Generous Royalties

Next, there are the high royalties you can earn.  Kindle books pay from 30% to 70% in royalties, depending on how much you charge for your Kindle books.  If you charge from $2.99 to $9.99, you can get 70% in royalties, which is outstanding.  Try that in regular book publishing!  In the traditional publishing world, you'll be lucky to get 10%, and all too often, that's 10% of your publisher's net profits, which can leave you with rather empty pockets.

When it comes to Kindle, however, you get the full 70% of the retail price.  And if you price your books lower or higher, you get 30%, which is still excellent.

You may have a question though... Why anyone would price their books at less than $2.99?  That's easy!  A book selling for just 99 cents, for example, is a perfect impulse buy.  You'll sell many more than you would if your book were priced higher, and even 33 cents in commissions can add up if you get a lot of them.

In fact, there's a story out there of someone who became a Kindle millionaire by selling nothing but 99 cent books.  You might be surprised just how many books you could sell once you get going with your Kindle business.

Beyond Royalties

And royalties aren't everything.  In fact, one of the biggest advantages of Kindle books, especially the ones priced to sell in great numbers, is that they are perfect lead generators.

If you have a website where you sell either products or services, you can write a Kindle book that whets people's appetite for what you have to sell.  You then send them over to your website with a great free offer (or even a great deal), and you'll be able to grow your list of buyers.  After all, they already purchased something by you, even if they bought it at Amazon.  Now it's your turn to capture their contact information so you can sell to them directly.

Finally, there's money in the backend too.  Even if your Kindle book buyers don't come to your website, you might still benefit.  You simply embed recommendations into your book for "more information" and products you discuss, along with your affiliate link, and every time someone buys something through those links, you'll get a commission.

Of course, nothing should stop you from recommending your very own products.  And if people buy those, not only will you get the whole purchase price, but the buyers' contact information will be added to your list.

Kindle Publishing Is Easier Than You Think

How to get started with Kindle Publishing?  If you're intimidated by the idea of having to write a whole book, don't be.  There are several reasons why Kindle publishing is easier than you think.

First, Kindle books are much shorter than normal books. If the idea of writing a 200 page how-to book intimidates you, you'll be glad to know that Kindle books can be much shorter than that, especially if you're specializing in low-cost lead generation books.  But even the full-length Kindle books can be much shorter than the average book.

And that's not all.  Kindle pages are small, so you get at least two pages out of the content that would normally fit on one page.  This means, that whatever you write, you'll get twice the page numbers instantly.

So instead of having to write 200 pages, you could write 24 pages and end up with a Kindle book of 47 pages, not even counting table of contents and other supplementary material.  Now that sounds a lot less intimidating, doesn't it?

And that's not all...  There are a lot of shortcuts to writing Kindle books...

Book Creation Shortcuts

If you still feel stressed by the prospect of writing your own books, you should know that you don't actually have to write your own books.  You can use PLR (Private Label Rights) content or public domain content and rewrite it to create your own books.

And yes, you do have to rewrite it, or add to it, or otherwise make it unique since Amazon has gotten wise to that strategy and now rejects books that are simply republished public domain works or PLR.  You really do have to change them around, and the way to do that might simply be to add more than one PLR work, and do a bit of mixing and matching.

And finally, you can also invest in a ghostwriter and have your Kindle books created for you.  Since they're fairly short, this shouldn't be as big an investment as you would expect.

How To Publish Your Kindle Book

To publish your Kindle book, simply go to http://kdp.amazon.com and follow instructions.  They will tell you all about what you need in order to format and submit your Kindle book.  Once you have successfully submitted your book, it will take just 24 hours or so and your book will be in the Kindle store.  And with that, you're on your way to earning royalties.

And once you've published your first one, adding the second, third, and fourth will be a breeze.  Before you know it, you could be earning a nice income from your Kindle publishing.
