How to Sell Products for Amazon

Like Google, Yahoo, and eBay, Amazon is one of those gigantic forces on the web that not only makes billions of dollars, but also make tons of money for independent web-savvy entrepreneurs who are willing to work with them. Amazon makes this particularly easy through its Amazon Associates program, which allows independent sellers to earn a percentage on any products they help to sell. Essentially, the program allows you to become a salesperson for Amazon products, and you are limited only by your sales and marketing skills.

If you want to get serious about selling being an amazon affiliate the number one product on the market is Info Product Killer. People are making some serious money using the tried and true methods of this program.

To get started selling products for Amazon, follow these simple steps:

1. Create a website.

First, you’ll want to browse Amazon’s listings and settle upon a specific category of products you want to sell. It may be tempting to keep your category broad, but remember that people will be finding you through search engines. This requires your site to be keyword oriented, which means your focus should be relatively narrow.

Register and set up hosting for a domain name that is search engine-friendly and pertains directly to the category of product you will be selling.

2. Fill your site with content.

Before registering for the Amazon Associates program, it’s best to have your site up and running and ready to go. Make your blog or website pretty with a template or with your own web programming know-how, and set up a blog interface to make it easy for you to post your product reviews regularly.

After that, start writing reviews of products, and put them up on your site. This is where you establish the type of credibility that will earn returning readers. You want your reviews to be credible and helpful. If you chose a category you already know about, then it should not be hard to create a foundation of reviews of products that you already have experience with.

3. Sign up.

Once your website is presentable and rich with high-quality, original content, sign up for the Amazon Associates program. It’s important that you save this step for later in the process, as Amazon employees check sign-up sites individually to make sure they are legitimate. You want to be sure that your site will be approved.

4. Update your site with Affiliate links.

Once you have been approved as an Amazon Associates member, go back through your existing reviews and update them with the special links to the Amazon product pages. These links track any purchases back to your site and are essential if you want to make money selling Amazon products. Amazon Associates will provide you with full instructions for how to employ these links.

5. Treat it like any other successful site.

Now that you’ve been set up through the Amazon Associates program, you can’t treat your site as just a moneymaking tool. You have to treat it like a real site. In other words, you can’t just put it out there and immediately begin to neglect it. You have to do all the things that real sites do, including regular updates, interaction with site visitors, and promotion. The better you maintain your site, and the better you promote it, the more money you will make in the long-term.
